Getting there
Arriving by Car
Get full directions from your location by car on Google Maps.
Please note Brighton is located at the bottom of the A23. To avoid tourist traffic on entering Brighton it is quickest to reach the house by travelling via Dyke Road Avenue.
There are two public car parks a short walk away. I also am usually able to rent a parking space or two located near to the property which costs £13 a day.
Arriving by Train
The train station is a short walk away. However, the route from Brighton station is very hilly and with bags, you may prefer to catch a taxi which costs £10. The bus service from the station is the number 7 and leaves approximately every 15 minutes, This costs just under £3 each way. The bus will probably take you longer to catch than it would to walk from the station. From London, trains leave from Victoria and London Bridge leave very frequently (every 15 minutes during the week) and take an hour. Trains from Gatwick take 35 minutes and are also very frequent.
Train timetables can be found at www.networkrail.co.uk
Airport transfers and taxis
For groups you may find it cheaper to arrive by taxi from Gatwick. Contact the best local taxi on 01273 202020 (Brighton and Hove Streamline). You may find a cheaper private hire firm by searching on the Internet or looking at Uber.
Accessibility
This Brighton cottage is on two floors. The stairs are easy to climb with a supporting rail. It is not however suitable for those that require wheelchair access or those that are too infirm to manage a small flight of stairs.
